Bulls’ Ayo Dosunmu threw out the first pitch as White Sox smoke Cubs

Chicago Bulls rookie Ayo Dosunmu on Sunday threw out the ceremonial first pitch as the White Sox defeated their cross-town rivals on the South Side of the city.

Dosunmu took part in the festivities as the White Sox took the three-game series with a 13-1 victory. White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease tied a career-high with 11 strikeouts while Luis Roberts hit two home runs to put on a show for Dosunmu.

The 38th overall pick by the Bulls took the mound wearing a No. 12 White Sox jersey and was quite excited for the opportunity. After a few moments, Dosunmu took a deep breath and then proceeded to deliver the pitch to Southpaw, the White Sox’s mascot.

Dosunmu recently turned in a strong run with the Bulls in the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals in five games. He produced his best game on Aug. 15 with 26 points and seven rebounds.
