Bullard Baseball ranked #4 in Class 4A

Mar. 4—BULLARD — The Bullard Baseball Panthers are off to a red-hot start in the new season.

In this week's Texas Association of High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4A poll the Panthers (9-1-2) are ranked No. 4.

Bullard took part in the Nacogdoches Dragon Baseball Tournament late last week. The Panthers went 3-3-1, which was highlighted by wins over Mount Pleasant, 2-1, Spring Hill, 9-0, and Pollok Central, 13-3.

Bullard's lone loss was a 1-0 setback to Livingston. The Panthers played Carthage to a 1-1 draw.

Bullard will be heading south again this week when the Panthers participate in the Lufkin Tournament.

Games are scheduled for Thursday and Saturday.

The Panthers' first action will come at 2:30 p.m. Thursday against the New Caney Eagles.
