Being away from home shouldn’t mean your beauty routine takes a holiday. In this episode of ITK: Out of a Suitcase, travel expert Francesca Murray (@onegrloneworld) shows us how to take the hassle out of travel when it comes to your skincare routine.
“Thankfully, most brands these days make travel-sized skin care products to help you maintain healthy skin on the go,” Francesca says.
The first product in Francesca’s vacation skincare routine is the Dermalogica Mini Special Cleansing Gel. She says it’s great for refreshing your skin after a long day of travel. Its compact size is ideal for a hotel bathroom, at the airport, or on a plane. As an added bonus, Dermalogica’s cleansing gel doubles as a makeup remover.
Next up, Francesca recommends the Estée Lauder Mini Advanced Night Repair Serum. It’s a portable product that enhances your nighttime routine by smoothing and hydrating your skin. Similarly, she says the Biossance Mini Squalane + Omega Repair Deep Hydration Moisturizer is perfect for skin after a traveling stint. “The squalane and omega ingredients strip your skin of the fine lines and wrinkles that come from exhaustion,” Francesca explains.
If you’re looking for something with an easy, on-the-go application, try out the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. Francesca says she sprays this facial mist as an easy refresher while traveling. She recommends it specifically for airplane rides that dry out your skin.
Finally, Francesca shares an essential skin care step you need, whether heading to the tropics or enjoying a staycation — the Supergoop! Mini Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 PA+++. It offers invisible protection against the sun’s harmful rays and can be worn with makeup.
