Bucs right tackle Luke Goedeke, safety Ryan Neal do not practice

TAMPA ― Already facing the challenge of blocking 49ers outside pass rushers Nick Bosa and Chase Young, the Bucs were without starting right tackle Luke Goedeke during practice on Wednesday.

Goedeke was limited in practice last week with a foot injury but played every snap of the Bucs’ 20-6 win over the Titans on Sunday.

“We’ll see how he feels as the week goes by,” Bucs head coach Todd Bowles said of Goedeke.

The 49ers acquired Young from the Washington Commanders before the trade deadline.

Bucs safety Ryan Neal also did not practice and was wearing a cast on his left hand.

If Goedeke can’t go, it’s possible the Bucs could start left guard Matt Feiler at right tackle. He started every game at left tackle for the Chargers for two seasons.

The other option may be playing Justin Skule, who has been active as the swing tackle. He started 12 games for the 49ers in 2019-20.

With Neal out, the Bucs signed safety Jaquan Johnson to the practice squad. Johnson spent four years with the Bills and was cut by the Raiders in August.
