The NFL announced on Twitter Thursday that 31 teams would hold rookie minicamp (or some variation of it) and the dates which those teams would do so, and the Bucs will join the majority of the league in holding theirs from May 12-14. The Bengals’ rookie minicamp is only one day, and the Rams don’t hold one at all.

Rookie minicamp is traditionally the first chance that NFL coaches have to see their draft picks in action, and it’s the first chance for those draft picks to get acclimated to NFL schemes and calls. On top of that, though, UDFAs and tryout players will attend as well, and those players will do their best to make their mark and try and make the main roster,

None of the Bucs’ NFC South rivals will get an edge on them, it seems, as the Falcons, Panthers and Saints are set to host minicamp at the same time.
