Bucs’ 1st-round slot in 2023 NFL draft locked in after playoff loss

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended their 2022 season with a 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Monday night’s wild-card playoff game.

With the loss, the Bucs locked in their spot in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft.

Tampa Bay will pick 19th overall in this year’s draft, the highest pick of any playoff team.

After winning the NFC South for the second year in a row, despite a losing record, the Bucs will now also have a top-20 pick to help reload their roster in what could be a challenging offseason.
