The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have begun the process of trimming their roster as they look ahead to their next preseason game.
Veteran defensive back Ross Cockrell was released Tuesday morning, while guard Curtis Blackwell, tight end Ben Beise and wide receiver Kameron Brown were waived.
Outside linebacker JoJo Ozougwu and offensive lineman Jonathan Hubbard were also waived with injury designations.
Those moves bring the Bucs’ current roster down to 85 players, with more cut deadlines looming throughout the preseason before the final cut-down to 53 players for the regular season.
