Bucks fans taunt Kawhi with series of Clippers chants

Kawhi Leonard’s future after the 2018-19 playoffs conclude is subject to league-wide interest and many believe that the Toronto Raptors standout will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers this summer.

It appears that Milwaukee Bucks fans are trying to will this idea into existence.

During the third quarter of Friday’s Game 2 between the Bucks and Raptors, the Fiserv Forum couldn’t help but troll Leonard with an “LA’s calling” chant while he was at the free-throw line.

The Bucks were never in doubt of losing Game 2, and their delighted home crowd doubled down on the chants later in the game.

Leonard’s impending free agency doesn’t appear to bother him so much - if anything, these chants will likely get a rise out of the Raptors’ tortured fan base moreso than their stoic superstar.

Whether Leonard signs with the Clippers, Raptors or elsewhere certainly won’t be dictated by a raucous Bucks crowd, but you can’t fault them for wanting the biggest threat to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s supremacy out of sight and out of mind.
