The Buckeyes have made the final four for Rivals250 tight end prospect Jeremy Ruckert out of Lindenhurst (N.Y.). The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder is currently taking part of The Opening Finals in Beaverton (Ore.) but took time to go to social media with the big news.

Ohio State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Michigan make up the final four for the four-star tight end prospect.

Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes have long made Ruckert a priority for the class of 2018 and have been near the top of his list throughout the entire process. Ohio State has done a good job of recruiting the Empire State for the past several years under Meyer and there is a level of comfortability between Ruckert and the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes did not take a tight end in the class of 2017 and do not have one in the class of 2018 to date. Landing Ruckert would be huge for this class as the Buckeyes are ready to lose Marcus Baugh after the 2017 season.
