Highlights: Jeremy Lauzon's early goal helps Bruins earn victory originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

For the second consecutive game, the Boston Bruins have notched a victory. For the second straight contest, it was of the 4-2 variety.

The Bruins led for almost the entirety of the game against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. The teams were tied for 33 seconds of the game but after Jeremy Lauzon opened the scoring via a soft goal allowed by Ilya Samsonov, the Bruins led for the next 59:27.

The B's got another sparkling effort out of rookie goaltender Jeremy Swayman, who stopped 31 of the 33 shots that came his way and only gave up the two goals while facing 5-on-3 power plays. Swayman is now 2-0-0 in his first two starts and has stopped 71 of 75 shots that have come his way -- good for a .947 save percentage.

Elsewhere, it was another big day for Brad Marchand and Craig Smith. Each notched a goal and an assist for the Bruins and did a lot to power the team's offense to another victory. The Bruins now have a remarkable 12-0-1 record when Smith records a point, good for a points percentage of .961.

Here are the highlights from the Bruins' latest win.
