'Best Monday ever?': McAvoy has excited reaction to Bergeron, Krejci news originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Boston Bruins fans had plenty of reasons to be excited Monday.

Not only did the B's announce that captain Patrice Bergeron is returning for his 19th season with the team, they also announced David Krejci is coming back.

Both veteran centers signed one-year, incentive-based contracts.

Charlie McAvoy was certainly fired up after hearing the news. The Bruins' star defenseman reacted to both signings with posts to his Instagram story.

Not bad for a Monday.

The Bruins made other news, too. They announced a one-year contract worth $3.5 million with center Pavel Zacha, allowing both sides to avoid arbitration.

Now that Bergeron, Krejci and Zacha are all under contract, the Bruins should turn their full attention to David Pastrnak, who's entering the final year of his contract. Keeping him in Boston with a long-term extension should be the goal.
