Browns QB to be featured speaker at June 22 Greater Akron Canton H.S. Sports Awards show

Cleveland Browns quarterback Joshua Dobbs will be the featured speaker at the 2023 Greater Akron-Canton High School Sports Awards show, presented by Akron Children’s Hospital, on June 22 at the Akron Civic Theater. The show is produced with the support of Meijer.

Dobbs is a talented quarterback who rejoined the Browns this offseason after playing part of last year with the Tennessee Titans.

Having proven himself as a reliable player on and off the field, Dobbs is known for his leadership qualities, dedication to the game and commitment to his team. Originally from Georgia, Dobbs played in college at the University of Tennessee and was a 2017 fourth-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, for whom he initially played three seasons before returning for two more in 2020 and 2021.

He also played for Jacksonville in 2019 and Cleveland in 2022.

In addition to his football career, Josh is also the founder of the Josh Dobbs Foundation, which is dedicated to empowering young people to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields. Through his foundation, Josh has provided scholarships, mentoring and other resources to students in need.

The Greater Akron-Canton High School Sports Awards show is part of the USA Today High School Sports Awards program, the largest high school recognition program in the country.
