Browns free agent Jadeveon Clowney linked to a division rival

The Cleveland Browns have a former player linked to a division rival as defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been pinned down as a potential free agency fit for the Baltimore Ravens. ESPN likes the fit between the two sides, stating:

“I’m putting Clowney with Baltimore on a one-year deal; I like the fit as a rotational sub-package defender in Mike Macdonald’s defense. While his production declined in 2022 (two sacks), Clowney still has the physical tools of a straight-line power rusher who can win defined one-on-ones and set a hard edge against the run out of the Ravens’ multiple fronts.”

Clowney’s time in Cleveland ended tumultuously as he went to the media to bash his usage and his teammate Myles Garrett. He was benched the last game of the year following this, and the Browns will have little interest in bringing him back.
