Browns announce Deshaun Watson underwent successful shoulder surgery
Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson underwent successful right shoulder surgery on Tuesday, Cleveland announced.
"Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson underwent surgery today to repair a displaced fracture to the glenoid in his right shoulder," the team said in a statement. "The surgery was performed by Neal ElAttrache, MD, in Los Angeles and was deemed successful.
"The rehab process is scheduled to begin on Friday, and a full recovery is expected prior to the start of the 2024 season."
Watson suffered the injury during Cleveland's 33-31 victory over Baltimore in Week 10. He was able to finish the game, going 14-of-14 passing in the second half.
Dealing with another shoulder injury earlier this season, Watson started six games in 2023, with the Browns going 5-1 in those contests. He completed 61.4 percent of his throws for 1,115 yards with seven touchdowns and four interceptions. He also rushed for 142 yards with a touchdown.
