The Brooklyn Nets put on a defensive exhibition Friday against the Detroit Pistons. After leading by as many as 16, the Pistons rallied late to try to steal not only the win, but also the night from Brooklyn. Well, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge had other plans.

Durant put up a double-double in the contest, going for 29 points and 10 rebounds. Some big time plays down the stretch sealed the deal for the Nets, but he would not have been able to do so without Aldridge and Griffin. Him and Aldridge combined for 18 points in the fourth quarter alone to win by six. As for Griffin, he did all the dirty work.

Whether it was crashing the offensive glass, putting his body on the line in the paint or just being that source of energy to give the Nets an extra boost to push through in the end, the veteran did it all.

This is what Nets head coach Steve Nash, Durant, Griffin and James Harden had to say after officially making it five straight wins.
