In an eventful draft night, the Brooklyn Nets were ready to make their next move. With their first pick, the 27th pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, the Nets selected Cameron Thomas from LSU.

Thomas was born Japan before later moving to the United States. In college, Thomas was an absolute bucket. He averaged 23 PPG on 41% shooting. His averages from the stripe were also phenomenal. The former Tiger shot 88% from the free throw line, showing that the pressure never gets him.

Brooklyn can utilize the 19-year-old for the bench. With Spencer Dinwiddie possibly on the move and Landry Shamet gone, scoring will not be a problem for Thomas. He is also an elite shooter and a team can never go wrong when drafting another shooter. If the youngster can develop quickly with the Nets, he can potentially become a sixth man.
