Brook Hill soccer squads hand Dallas Christian pair of shutouts

Jan. 12—BULLARD — Brook Hill won both matches in a district doubleheader against Dallas Christian Thursday at Herrington Stadium in Bullard.

The Guard upended the Chargers, 10-0, while the Lady Guard took a 3-0 victory over the Dallas Christian ladies.

Alejandro Martinez scored four goals in the Guard's lopsided triumph, as Brook Hill moved to 8-0-1, 4-0.

Scoring a pair of goals was Kami Amaonwu.

Marlon Rataj, Mio Engqvist, Patricio Saucedo and Pancho Ramirez added a goal each for the winners.

Picking up assists in the match were: Engqvist (2), Rataj, Martinez, Ramirez and Lucas Chade.

Christian Pous collected four saves for Brook Hill and Luke Vasser had two.

The Brook Hill boys will return to the pitch at 7 p.m. Tuesday with a trip to the Metroplex to engage Corem Deo Academy.

Hadleigh Clark, Caley Fitzgerald and Caroline Smith booted in a goal apiece in the Lady Guard's latest conquest.

Smith also earned an assist.

After a short break, the Lady Guard (9-3, 3-0) will be back in action on Saturday, January 20, when they participate in the Bullard Junior Varsity Tournament.
