Brook Hill knocks off Brownsboro in 11 innings

Apr. 14—BROWNSBORO — Brook Hill scored five runs in the top of the 11th inning to surpass Brownsboro, 8-4, Saturday afternoon in Brownsboro.

The Guard improved to 16-3-0, 9-1 while the Bears now stand 10-10-1, 4-7.

Brook Hill batters tallied 12 hits in the extended affair while Brownsboro collected nine.

Tommy Hilliard pitched seven solid innings of relief to earn the win on the hill for the Guard. He gave up one run on four hits, struck out four and walked one.

Cooper Schock and Levi Visser had three hits apiece for Brook Hill. Schock's efforts at the dish were sparked by a double.

Ben Braatz went 2-4 and drove in two runs for the Guard while Blake Whitten added a 2-run base knock.

Brook Hill will close out the regular season with two games this week against Dallas Christian. The Guard will travel to Mesquite to take on the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the two clubs scheduled to do battle in Bullard Friday evening.
