Bronny James graduates from high school; LeBron James shares family video

LeBron James is one proud dad.

Bronny James, the eldest son of LeBron and Savannah James, graduated from Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles on Friday. He will attend the University of Southern California, where he committed to play basketball.

The entire James clan – dad LeBron, mom Savannah, brother Bryce, sister Zhuri and grandma Gloria – were all on hand for Bronny James' graduation. His parents shared graduation photos on Instagram, including a video of LeBron triumphantly hoisting Bronny James' diploma.

"PROUD!" LeBron James wrote on Instagram. "CONGRATULATIONS & LOVE YOU KID!"

Savannah James added: "The day has come and gone, but it only marks the beginning of a great journey in front of you! (Bronny) I am so so proud of you and I hope you are extremely proud of yourself! I am forever your unwavering support, your biggest fan and beacon of guidance always! (If you ever want mom’s POV, Lol) I’m so excited to see what your future holds!! I love you so much!"

Gloria James, the mother of LeBron James and "Grammy" to Bronny James, shared a photo of the smiling graduate pointing to his family in the crowd after walking across the stage and accepting his diploma.

"Congratulations grandson!!!! You’ve always made me very proud of you. And seeing you graduate tonight, just made me feel an even bigger sense of pride," she wrote. "I wish you the most happiness and success in this next chapter of your young adult life. Continue to spread your wings and soar to new heights. Love you very much."

Bronny James will remain near his family, playing his home games not far from where his father suits up for the Lakers. LeBron James has one more year on his contract with the Lakers, with an option for another season in 2024-25. He has expressed a desire to play in the league with his son, but hinted at retirement following the Denver Nuggets' sweep of the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals on Monday.
