Broncos likely to get WR Jerry Jeudy back on Sunday vs. Washington

The Denver Broncos will get a big piece of their offense back for the Week 8 game against the Washington Football Team. Second-year wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is expected to be back in the lineup on Sunday, per James Palmer of the NFL Network.

Jeudy hasn’t played since Week 1 when he injured his ankle in a season-opening win over the New York Giants.

Jeudy, who caught six passes for 72 yards in the opener, went on injured reserve with a designation to return and almost made his return last week.

A first-round pick out of Alabama in 2020, Jeudy played in all 16 games as a rookie, catching 52 passes for 856 yards and three touchdowns.

Courtland Sutton is Denver’s leading receiver with 38 receptions and 539 yards through seven games. Tight end Noah Fant is second on the team with 35 receptions.

Denver quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will have the opportunity to face one of the NFL’s worst pass defenses in Washington on Sunday with a healthy group of pass-catchers.
