Brock Purdy leaves NFC title game with elbow injury, questionable to return

The San Francisco 49ers might have to finish the NFC title game without their rookie quarterback.

Brock Purdy left Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the first quarter with an elbow injury, and he’s questionable to return.

Purdy took a hit to his forearm on a strip-sack by Eagles pass rusher Haason Reddick. He was replaced by longtime veteran backup Josh Johnson.

This is obviously a huge blow to the 49ers’ chances of pulling off the road upset and a trip to the Super Bowl, so we’ll see if Purdy is able to play through the injury.
