The Bournemouth golfer is through the semi-finals of the women’s four-ball match play event at the European Golf Championships, alongside playing partner Dame Laura Davies.
The duo have won all three of their matches so far and saw off Belgium’s Manon de Roey and Chloe Leurquin 4&2 on Friday to complete a perfect start.
But Gleneagles, which hosts the Solheim Cup next year, is a stern test at the best of times – and Hall admits she played poorly down the back nine in tough conditions.
“I’m really enjoying playing with Laura. We’re playing well. I played a bit crappy on the back nine, but that’s golf,” she said.
“We played well enough, and we certainly got an unbelievable start. On the second we got an eagle, I went driver and driver and that out us two up after two.
“We did not lose a hole until the 14th and we were making pars. It was not perfect golf but sometimes that is enough to win matches.
“Laura and I both played very well on the first two days and this is one where we did not so much. If you are playing five rounds of golf, there is going to be a day where you do not do so well.
“Hopefully that will just be today. We got off to a good start and got some good birdies in the middle of the round and in the end you just need to hole your putts to win and that is what we did in the end.”
Today is perhaps the most intriguing at Gleneagles, as men and women play together in the mixed team event.
But on Sunday morning, Hall and Davies reunite for their semi-final with Sweden’s Linda Wessberg and Cajsa Persson.
“Anytime you have a chance to win anything, you are up for it and it would be nice to play well in the morning because you would be guaranteed a medal of some sort,” Hall added.
“The afternoon would then be a bonus. We have the mixed team event coming up and that will be fun and different – on Sunday it is back to business.
“I want to win gold and I think we can. We are both playing well and holding some good putts.”
