1. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER, OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER, ON MASON GREENWOOD, SAYING:

"I think we've done well over the course of the season giving him more and more exposure, more and more game time. You know, it's not easy being a young boy - he could still play in this season's FA Youth Cup team. So, he's a young boy that we have to look after. But he's performing from the bench or when he starts and he's developed fantastically this season, so the sky is the limit. It's up to him. He knows what he should do and can do and must do to keep on playing. But that will be between us."

3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER, OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER, ON UNITED'S CONFIDENCE GOING INTO MATCH, SAYING:

"Well, it's been a while since we've been on a run like this. When I first came in, the run was also a good one. But now, we definitely are feeling confident. We are feeling in good form. They should be, because they've worked so hard over the lockdown period and they're just getting their sharpness and match fitness back. And of course, when you perform as you have done, Shef United, Brighton games, I thought they were really good. So, they should be confident."

5. (SOUNDBITE) (English) MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER, OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER, ON BEING ABLE TO CLOSE THE GAP WITH LIVERPOOL AND MANCHESTER CITY NEXT SEASON, SAYING:

"I watched quite a few games yesterday, both Norwegian and English, there's quite a lot of football on the television at the moment. And yeah, I watched two very, very good teams (Liverpool v Manchester City) on show, but we believe that we are on the right track. We think we can improve on what we are now and close the gap further."

STORY: Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the sky is the limit for teenage forward Mason Greenwood, who is enjoying a breakthrough season at Old Trafford.

Greenwood, 18, scored his 13th goal of the campaign in all competitions against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday (June 30), before delivering an inch-perfect cross for Bruno Fernandes to volley home United's third in a 3-0 win at the Amex Stadium.

Solskjaer said Greenwood has the potential to thrive at the highest level and claimed that the teenager is a more rounded player than him at the same age.

United, fifth in the league, are unbeaten in 15 matches across all competitions, but Solskjaer warned his players cannot take their foot off the gas against 19th-placed Bournemouth, who are battling to stay in the top flight.

He said his side were confident going into the match against Bournemouth as they continue to get back into match fitness following the lockdown.

Solskjaer also said he believes his side will be positioned to further close the gap with Premier League champions Liverpool and second-placed Manchester City next season.
