Brian Laundrie: What we know about his death
The cause of death for Brian Laundrie has been ruled a suicide, according to a report from the Herald-Tribune. He was the lone person of interest in the death of his fiancé Gabrielle "Gabby" Petito, 22, after the couple went on a cross-country road trip in her van.
Petito's body was found Sept. 19 and her death was ruled a homicide. She died of strangulation, said Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue.

Laundrie’s skeletal remains, which authorities confirmed using dental records, were found at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in southern Sarasota County on Oct. 20.

According to the District 12 Medical Examiner's office, the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.
