Brett McMurphy excludes Auburn from his top 50 teams in early 2022 rankings

Opinions are pretty low of the Auburn football team entering the 2022 season.

Brett McMurphy of the Action Network put out his way too early top 25 and ended his post with the next 25 teams.

The Auburn Tigers were not mentioned in either, meaning McMurphy does not see Auburn as a top 50 team in college football.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the fanbase would respond if Auburn had that type of season in 2022 and how the administration would proceed.

There’s a lot to like about Auburn’s roster going into the offseason.

A ton of experience will come back of the defensive side of the ball and they will not go through the same growing pains as they have figured out the Derek Mason scheme.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Tigers should be getting a fresh start at the quarterback position and the running game should be in a great spot going into the season.

There are holes on the roster but if Bryan Harsin and his staff can lock down a few transfers, this can be a solid roster going into 2022.

McMurphy ranked Alabama at one, Georgia at two, Texas A&M at four, Arkansas at 15, Tennessee at 17, LSU at 18, and Kentucky at 23.
