Brett Baty has once again made it on to MLB Pipeline's list of the Top 10 third basemen prospects for the 2021 season.

He came in at sixth on the 2020 list, but falls one spot down to No. 7 in this year's rankings.

One reason for that is the emergence of the first overall draft pick in the 2020 MLB Draft: Spencer Torkelson.

Like every other minor leaguer, Baty didn't have a 2020 season of development in the Mets' farm because of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2019, though, he was decent at both rookie levels and Low-A ball. Baty hit .350 in the Gulf Coast League before going to Kingsport in the Appalachian League to finish his time in rookie ball. He then played four games with Low-A Brooklyn.

Overall, Baty slashed .234/.368/.452 with seven homers, 16 doubles, two triples and 33 RBI over 51 games in 2019.

Baty also joins fellow prospect Francisco Alvarez on making the Top 10 list for his position. Alvarez was ranked fourth on the catcher's list.

In SNY's rankings of the top 20 prospects for this upcoming year, Joe DeMayo placed Baty at No. 5 and Alvarez at No. 1
