Breaking: Notre Dame loses 2024 defensive line commit
It has been a little over a year since New Jersey defensive lineman Owen Wafle committed to Notre Dame, giving the Irish a great start to the 2024 recruiting class.
Unfortunately, Wafle has decided to part ways with the Irish, as he announced on Wednesday morning that he was decommitting. He becomes the second player to commit and then change their mind as another defensive lineman, Brandon Davis-Swain, also opted to move on.
What’s interesting about Wafle’s decision was the fact that he was reportedly offered a scholarship by Michigan, as it looks like they are going hard after the 6-foot, 3-inch and 290 pound lineman.

Wafle was ranked as the 30th best edge defender and 404th overall player in the 2024 recruiting class according to the 247Sports composite.
