Brandon Browner is already serving an eight-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to attempted murder and child endangerment, but he might not be done as far as legal consequences go.
Browner’s ex-girlfriend is suing the former Seattle Seahawks cornerback for multiple instances of domestic violence — including the attack that became the attempted murder charge — between 2006 and 2018, according to TMZ.
The alleged incidents are incredibly disturbing. Beyond Browner allegedly hitting his ex unconscious, inflicting a carpet burn on her face and breaking into her house to attack her in front of their two children, the lawsuit also reportedly alleges Browner of multiple horrifying attacks.
In 2017, Browner's ex claims he attacked her two different times while she slept – once, allegedly picking her up by the neck, slamming her onto the bed and then chasing her through the street in her undergarments. During a separate incident, she says he punched her repeatedly in the thigh while she slept, leaving severe pain and bruising.
Come 2018, the woman alleges Browner broke into her home one month before the attempted murder and pinned her down to a couch for 15 minutes, threatening to hurt her and eventually making off with her phone and keys. In July, she says he broke in again ... and tried killing her in front of their kids.
Browner was arrested last July after police responded to a call that turned out to be Browner breaking into her home and stealing a $20,000 Rolex watch.
The two-time Super Bowl champion, best known as a founding member of the Legion of Boom in 2013, has been out of the league since 2015.
