Since arriving in Washington in 2012 as the Wizards' No. 1 draft pick, Beal has grown into the face of the organization, rarely missing time and remaining loyal to the club and the community.

The milestone comes as he looks to lead the Wizards toward an 8th consecutive victory and, in turn, bring them one step closer to obtaining a play-in spot for the postseason. And though he says it is far from his primary concern, Beal also has a chance to retake the lead as the league's leading scorer.

Before the third quarter came to a close on Sunday night, Beal reached another notable milestone, joining Elvin Hayes as the second player in franchise history to reach 13,000 points.

Beal, 27, now trails Greg Ballard (643), and Hall of Famers Elvin Hayes (731) and Wes Unseld (984)—great company by any measure.
