The Boston Celtics face the Miami Heat on the road Friday, Oct. 15 for their final game of their slate of four preseason exhibition contests down a number of key players despite a desire to treat this final friendly as a legitimate warmup for the regular season.

If you’re here because you want to find a way to watch the action live on cable television or an online streaming service, keep reading while we get you up to speed. The game may prove yet to be a competitive one given the strength we have seen from the Celtics bench, but don’t expect Boston to push their hardest given they are already dinged up ahead of Oct. 20th’s season opener against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Let’s take a look at who won’t be suiting up.

Injuries of note

The Celtics revealed veteran guard Marcus Smart will be suspended for one game for breaking team rules — likely missing a plane to Orlando — and lost second-year guard Payton Pritchard to a likely fractured nose vs. the Magic Wednesday night.

Forward Jaylen Brown and big man Al Horford remain in the NBA’s health and safety protocol.

As of 6 pm ET on Thursday, Oct. 14, Miami had not yet submitted their injury report for the game.
