What do the Boston Celtics hope to get out of signing 33-year-old veteran big man Blake Griffin? On one hand, he has lost the explosiveness that got him known on both ends of the court in the first place and the shooting that he used to keep himself in the NBA has seemingly dried up.
On the other, Griffin has long been one of the best bigs in the league in terms of taking charges and can pass the ball with the experience to make few mistakes. Do the Celtics think the Oklahoma product still has something left in the tank to offer the team?
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what Adam Kaufman, co-host of the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast, and his guest Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe had to say about the signing on a recent episode.
