Raiders owner Mark Davis went to Hooters after Del Rio interview


Mark Davis is unlike any other NFL owner. Just last week, the Oakland Raiders boss hopped on a Southwest Airlines flight to interview Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio about Oakland's head coaching vacancy. Fast forward a week later, and Davis appeared at another location you typically don't see multimillionaires showing up at.

Yes, that was Davis at a Hooters Tuesday evening with Raiders fullback Marcel Reese, franchise legend George Atkinson and a waitress the wings establishment is known for. Davis went there after a follow-up interview with Del Rio. Silver and Black Pride talked to the server in the photo, who said Davis is a regular there and enjoys the restaurant's "laid back atmosphere."

Evidently, the good vibes — and Hooters' funny tweet including a play on the Raiders' famous slogan — worked. News broke Wednesday afternoon Del Rio had been hired to lead the team he grew up rooting for as an East Bay native.
