Detroit Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello has won 61 games in five seasons with the AL Central powerhouse. But Tuesday during a Grapefruit League tilt against the Atlanta Braves, the 25-year-old right-hander had a forgettable outing for a couple reasons. First, while facing B.J. Upton during the first inning, the ball slipped out Porcello's hand during his delivery. It landed between the pitcher's mound and home plate and dribbled into foul territory. Porcello quickly called for a replacement ball from the home plate umpire while the vast majority of those in attendance at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla., were in stitches at what they had just witnessed. And if that wasn't bad enough, Porcello served up one of the longest home runs of spring training to Jason Heyward. The ball went over the scoreboard and right fielder Torii Hunter didn't even move.

Moving to the NBA, Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay has an explanation why Milwaukee Bucks guard O.J. Mayo looks a little bigger these days:

"I guess when you're hurt in Wisconsin, you eat," said Gay of his former teammate with the Memphis Grizzlies.

From his knees!

Finally in hockey, Andrew Shaw scored a pretty power play against the Dallas Stars. The Chicago Blackhawks center added the backhanded tally from his knees! The defending Stanley Cup champions won 4-2.
