Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been in the news a lot during his recovery from surgery on his Achilles. There was the revelation that had he gone to college, he would have attended North Carolina — not Duke. Then there was the anti-gravity treadmill. That was followed by one of his Newport Beach properties being listed. And that was all in the last two weeks! After a visit to Twitter headquarters Monday, The Black Mamba was back in the news.

Bryant was challenged to a game of Super Shot Basketball (the pop-a-shot-style arcade game you might find at a Dave & Buster's) at the social media giant by an unidentified challenger — and appeared to lose 89-87.

Moving to baseball, New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey is out indefinitely with a ligament tear in his throwing elbow. The National League All-Star Game starter may need to undergo Tommy John Surgery.

And New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford appears to know where the weight room. The 30-year old specialist shared a photo of him flexing his abs on Instagram.
