Just over two years ago, something called Linsanity was gripping the NBA. Now playing key minutes off the bench for the Houston Rockets, Jeremy Lin is a long way from the phenomenon that spawned a documentary — but he's still a vital part of the playoff team's rotation. Alas, there was a moment during the squad's heartbreaking 122-120 overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday night that many Rockets fans are still wondering about. Guarded closely by Nicolas Batum in the second quarter with Houston up 44-35, Lin put up a fadeway jumper from nine feet away. Not only did the ball not draw iron or touch the backboard, it went over the backboard. The errant shot appeared to baffle Rockets head coach Kevin McHale. Lin finished with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field — but, oh, that miss.

Meanwhile in NFL news, 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel seems to be enjoying the lead-up to early May's draft.

That was Manziel on a jet ski catching a long bomb from one of his buddies.

Forget Augusta

Finally, Matt Kuchar put a disappointing final round at the Masters behind him at the RBC Heritage. The 35-year-old picked up his seventh career PGA Tour win in dramatic fashion, holing out of the bunker on 18 to birdie the hole and beat Luke Donald by one stroke.
