After Richard Sherman's infamous rant to Erin Andrews two weeks ago following the Seahawks win over the 49ers, you would think that every camera and microphone would be trained on him during the Super Bowl postgame. But as Sherman was being interviewed by NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin following the game, Seattle tackle Russell Okung and the Seahawks mascot Taima unknowingly stole the show from the outspoken cornerback. With the celebration underway at midfield, Okung was handed Taima, an augur hawk, and his reaction was priceless. The commentary Sherman was trying to offer about Percy Harvin's efforts was totally overshadowed by Okung holding the big bird for the first time, while shouting through the crowd for his mom to "take a picture!" Whatever their respective messages were at the moment, both teammates had lots to celebrate after the Seahawks routed the Denver Broncos 43-8.
There was only one game scheduled for Sunday in the NBA on account of the Super Bowl but Rajon Rondo sure made the most of it. Hosting the Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics snapped a four-game losing streak thanks in large part to their point guard's impressive outing. Rondo scored a season-high 19 points and added 10 assists in the 96-89 win.
