While preparing his team for a Sweet 16 matchup against UConn, Iowa State Cyclones basketball coach Fred Hoiberg learned that his daughter Paige (who's currently with him in New York) had been asked to prom by way of an endearing YouTube video. The viral invitation features a gutsy high school junior named Wyatt Rhoads serenading Paige with a song he'd written to the tune of "Hey There Delilah." He's no Adam Levine vocally speaking, but he does have strong ties to the Cyclone athletic program — he's the son of Iowa State football coach Paul Rhoads.

Reporters who caught up with Hoiberg at Madison Square Garden Thursday asked if he'd gotten a chance to talk to his colleague in the football office yet about the's "Promposal." Playfully protective, Hoiberg responded, “Not yet – but I will, though, believe me.” He added a piece of quintessential fatherly advice: “Tell that kid to keep his hands off.”

As for Paige, her tweet says it all:

76ers on verge of record

Philadelphia's 120-98 loss to the Houston Rockets on Thursday night tied an NBA record for the longest losing streak in league history. If the Sixers lose to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday they will break the 2010-11 Cavaliers' woeful streak of 26 consecutive losses.

He also did something no other draft-eligible quarterback has done — he went through his group workout wearing helmet and shoulder pads.
