DeAndre Jordan suffers wardrobe malfunction

Janet Jackson's performance during the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show made the figure of speech famous — or infamous, depending on one's perspective. Since that fateful day in Houston nearly a decade ago, there have been several other "wardrobe malfunctions" relating to the sports world. There were the exploits of Ryan Zimmerman and Adam Dunn back in 2009. Then there was an Andray Blatche fan immortalizing another uniform foul-up. But the fate that befell Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan Monday night was embarrassing for another reason altogether.

During the opening minute of a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Jordan and Philly guard Tony Wroten were battling for position in the paint to snag a potential rebound on a runner by Chris Paul. Instead of either grabbing the ball, Wroten tugged at Jordan's jersey and ripped the "Los Angeles" lettering off the front of Jordan's top. Thankfully, a member of the Clippers equipment staff was able to provide the pivotman with a new kit during the next stoppage in play. Jordan sheepishly donned the fresh gear without any further incident. But the whole scenario begs the question: why wasn't the "Los Angeles" lettering stitched on?! Perhaps Adidas is slacking in the manufacturing department? Who knows. Either way, we have the latest chapter in wardrobe malfunctions.

Billy Volek 2.0

Nine years ago, former Tennessee Titans quarterback Billy Volek filled in for an injured Steve McNair during a Week 14 matchup against the Oakland Raiders. His 492-yard, four-touchdown pass performance was one of the legendary "one-hit wonder" moments in fantasy football history. Chicago Bears signal caller Josh McCown had a similar outing Monday night. The career backup accounted for five touchdowns — four through the air and one on the ground — in a 45-28 blowout of the Dallas Cowboys.

Off the market

Finally, sorry guys — but U.S. Women's National Team member Alex Morgan is engaged. The soccer star said "yes" to longtime boyfriend and college sweetheart Servando Carrasco. Carrasco plays in the MLS for the Houston Dynamo.
