Atlanta has two receiving options going in opposite directions as it prepares to host New Orleans on Thursday night. Falcons All-World tight end Tony Gonzalez has fallen on hard times, having hit pay dirt just once in his past six games and ranking only 20th at the position in fantasy points per game in his past five games. And now he has to face a Saints defense that ranks as the fifth-stingiest in fantasy at defending the TE position. If Tennessee's Delanie Walker or Indy's Coby Fleener are still swimming in your league's waiver pool, it's worth letting Gonzo take the week off from your active roster while you fish for one of those better options.
While Gonzo has struggled of late, Atalanta wideout Harry Douglas has thrived. Since Week 7, Douglas has averaged 107 receiving yards and has scored a couple of touchdowns, ranking No. 7 at the WR position in fantasy points per game in that span. And it's made even more impressive by the fact that Douglas faced the 6th-toughest schedule for a fantasy WR during this hot streak. So, while the Saints secondary represents a tough challenge for any opposing receiver, Douglas has proven that he can overcome tough match ups. And, let's not forget, he posted 93 yards against New Orleans back in Week 1.
