Last week, Geno Smith, Jason Snelling and Josh Gordon emerged from the shadows to post gaudy numbers. What overlooked commodities will shock the fantasy world in Week 4? Here are two candidates currently started in under 50-percent of Yahoo leagues:
Philip Rivers, SD, QB (vs. Dal) – After a torrid start, Rivers cooled last week notching only modest production against a rock solid Tennessee secondary. This week gifted a Cowboys defense that’s surrendered 304.3 passing yards per game and seven TDs, equal to the sixth-most fantasy points allowed to QBs, expect Rivers to pack plenty of ammo in a possible shootout.
Rod Streater, Oak, WR (vs. Wash) – Terrelle Pryor may be in street clothes this week, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t discount receiving Raiders. Matt Flynn may have a tarnished reputation, but he should prove more than adequate against a Redskins secondary that’s surrendered a staggering 9.8 yards per attempt. Streater, arguably the team’s finest downfield weapon, is sure to feast. Through three games, Washington has allowed six 11-plus point WRs in standard leagues.
