There's few fantasy sure things in this week's NFC South showdown between the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But here's some start/sit advice on a couple players that you can take to the bank.
Let's start with DeAngelo Williams. Owners of the Carolina back should be looking every which way for an alternative option this week. Although the yardage has been good for Williams this season, he has yet to find the end zone. And the Bucs are one of just two teams left that haven't allowed a rushing touchdown to an opposing running back. Also, the history card works against Williams in this contest. In two meetings last season, Williams combined for just 17 rushing yards on 13 carries.
On the flip side, Bucs receiver Vincent Jackson is unbenchable despite facing a Panthers defense that ranks among the elite at shutting down opposing wideouts. Carolina has faced just two top 20 fantasy receivers, to date, and V-Jax will be its stiffest test yet. Jackson has been targeted a ridiculous 36 times in the past two weeks, combining for 252 receiving yards and four touchdowns. At 6-foot-5, his deep ball abilities will play anywhere and against anyone, especially given the way he's been dominating his quarterback's attention of late.
