May the March Madness be with you: Star Wars launches its own 32-character bracket

It's March, and it's tournament time, and that means everybody on the planet is doing some version of a best-ever bracket. Everybody on the planet ... and at least one in a galaxy far, far away.

The fine folks over at have launched their own bracket, "This is Madness," to determine who's the best character from both the light and the dark side of the Force. (I'd explain what "light" and "dark" sides mean, but if you don't know, chances are you're not on the Internet.)

The tournament is underway, and each day brings a new matchup at the This Is Madness site. We're picking a Final Four of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Boba Fett. (Yes, that means everyone who originated in the prequels gets eliminated.) Quality matchups in early rounds include Luke vs. Yoda, Chewbacca vs. R2D2, and Darths Vader vs. Maul.

We've got a good feeling about this.
