The Edge and Bono brought the house down at the Decade of Difference concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 15 with a set that was fittingly moving and righteous. Much like Bill Clinton himself, Bono has always blended celebrity with activism, and that came through in the band's dramatic set. Bono and crew opened with "Desire" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," but then moved into a haunting acoustic version of "Sunday Bloody Sunday," which, as every U2 fan knows, is about civil rights struggles in Northern Ireland. The theme of fighting for change continued when Clinton himself introduced U2 for "Miss Sarejevo." Bono has called it his favorite U2 song, and it fit perfectly in the moment, as Clinton was president when Sarajevo was under siege in the early '90s.
