Fans of "Family Guy" have been very upset in the wake of (SPOILER ALERT) Brian Griffin's death in the long-running cartoon's latest episode. With many viewers up in arms about it and petitioning to bring him back, the celebration from Wolverhampton striker Leigh Griffiths after scoring the first goal in his side's 2-0 League One win over Tranmere Rovers quickly gained attention.

After scoring in the 17th minute, Griffiths pulled up his shirt to reveal the message "R.I.P. BRIAN"...

Word quickly spread that this was a tribute to the fictional cartoon dog, but Wolves' official Twitter account clarified after the match that it was actually in reference to a family member of Griffiths' who passed away recently.

And that's when we all realize we watch too much television.
