Wayne Rooney has coins thrown at him, scores beautiful volley against Crystal Palace

Apparently unaware that Wayne Rooney just signed a new £85 million contract with Manchester United the day before, Crystal Palace fans threw coins at him as he prepared to take a corner kick during the first half of Man United's visit to Selhurst Park. Rooney calmly picked up one of the unfamiliarly small denominations of money and handed it to the referee before going about his business.

In the second half, Rooney showed why people can't stop throwing money at him when he scored a wonderful volley shortly after Robin van Persie put Man United up 1-0 from the penalty spot.

That goal sealed the three points for Man United and made Rooney the second player to score 10 or more Premier League goals in 10 straight seasons (Chelsea's Frank Lampard was the first), according to Opta.

So that's what Wayne Rooney's been up to the last couple of days. How about you?
