#VanPersieing: Spectacular Dutch goal inspires latest viral sensation

We’ve seen fans “Dunfering” and “Tebowing," but now sports fans across the globe are “Persieing” after Robin van Persie’s wonder-header. The goal came in the Netherland’s 5-1 demolition of defending champions Spain on Friday.

This new sensation involves mimicking the diving header that looped over Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas for the early equalizer. With body outstretched and arms peeled back to maximize the aerodynamics, the “Persieing” fan looks a little like Superman.
