U.S. World Cup away kit released and it has all the color the home kit doesn't

A day after releasing England's home and away kits all at once, Nike has completed the set the for the U.S. as well. The solid white home strip drew criticism for looking more like it was meant for Wimbledon or the golf course, but it turns out Nike was just saving all the red, white and blue-iness for the away kit. Perhaps inspired by a Bomb Pop being held upside down, the away shirt features large sections of blue and red separated by a white strip across the chest and sleeves. The shorts, meanwhile, are solid red.

“The USA has a profound and passionate pride in their nation,” said Nike football global creative director Martin Lotti. “We wanted to create a design that reflects this in a daring and colorful fashion to give them an even more imposing appearance on the pitch.”

Like the home shirt, this one also features the message "One Nation. One Team." within the player's name on back, which is only visible in UV light.

So, at the 2014 World Cup, the U.S. team will either be very bland or very bright, which could double as a broad prediction for how they will fare.

Everything the U.S. team will wear in Brazil is available at the official shop.
