Tim Lincecum threw his second career no-hitter for the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, then changed teams almost immediately.

No, he wasn't traded for the highest possible value. Lincecum actually took off his Giants jersey and changed into a Team USA soccer jersey as soon as he got into the Giants' clubhouse. He also put on a knight's helmet, joined his teammate in the "Yes! Yes! Yes!" chant of WWE superstar Daniel Bryan and then was toasted by his manager. It was quite a scene, but that Team USA jersey definitely had people talking.

As it turns out, the timing here was really good. According to Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News, Lincecum and teammate Hunter Pence received personalized Team USA jerseys Wednesday.

Was Lincecum's soccer jersey good luck? You never know. This is baseball we're talking about, a game fueled by superstition. Next we'll see if the jersey-sharing means some of Lincecum's exquisite performance will be transferred to Team USA for its match Thursday against Germany.

Zeroes on the opposing scoreboard would make a lot of people happy.
