Thousands of Scottish fans overtook Trafalgar Square in London ahead of their friendly against England — the first match between the two sides in 14 years. Given the long wait, the event called for a party, so the Scotland supporters put on their kilts, grabbed their dish soap and took to the fountains.

According to The Mirror, 25,000 Scotland fans flocked to London to see the match. And party. Here's a quote from one fan who made the trip:

"If we win, there will be a party. If we lose there will be an even bigger party but it will have been after 90 minutes of inconvenience," he said.

"It would be sweet if we could get something, a win, over England. It would be the best feeling in the world.

"We are passionate and we like to party."

As you can see in the photos below, they were having more fun than you today before the match even started.

UPDATE: A Scotland fan has been arrested for dancing drunk and naked in the fountain. Yes, only one. So far.
