The Los Angeles Galaxy's central midfielder stopped by the Home Depot Center on Friday morning during a media conference to give his thoughts on new head coach Ruud Gullit.
It was Peter Vagenas. Not David Beckham.
Beckham, probably wisely, stayed out of the spotlight and decided that to take any of the focus away from Gullit on his first day would be too Ruud.
His absence does not mean there is a problem between the two. In fact, a source close to Beckham told Yahoo! Sports that the English star is "ecstatic" with the new hire.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
"People point fingers at us and say we are a circus. Well, I like the circus." – Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of AEG (owners of the Galaxy)
